Happy Birthday Nana

Photogrief / Photogrief : Eleanor Haley

By Robin Flanagan

My Mom and my niece were very close, they lived together for Emma's entire 8 year life. My Mom loved her so and Emma loved her Nana. When we found out Mom had cancer it was everyone's first thought...Emma. Losing her Nana was heartbreaking to watch, to know how much each of them will miss of each other's lives.

For her 57th birthday, only 4 months after she passed, Emma wanted to release balloons for Nana in Heaven. Again, it hurt to know they would never share this day in their earth suits again but looking at her sweet face and the love she had for her Nana, I know my Mom will always live in her heart.

Happy Birthday Mom, we miss you.
